Don't get me started on the circumstances that precipitated his early departure from the Saints.

does he go in as a Saint or a Chief?

The Pro Football HOF doesn't associate players with a team. It is just a bust.

That said, if you ever get a chance to go to Canton please do. It is amazing. And that was before a Saint ever made it there. It is well worth the trip from Cleveland if you are in the area.

Oh, and the HOF isn't just the NFL. It is all professional football. There are exhibits on the CFL, USFL and WFL, as well.

He said he’ll go into the Hall of Fame as a representative of the Saints, though players’ busts in the Hall don’t specify particular teams.

“I played four years with the Chiefs, and those were great,” he said, “but I’m from Arkansas … I went to Louisiana Tech … I grew up in Louisiana basically. My history goes more with the Saints than the Chiefs, but believe me, my Chiefs days were very, very special to me, and I will cherish those.”

No he's still right, only 2. Rickey and Willie sure Drew will get in but those 2 are the only one's drafted by the Saints.

If you count played for Saints then add Horning, Taylor, Atkins, Shram, Campbell, Stabler, Finks and Drew when he gets there

I met him during his USO tour of Iraq. He talks proudly of his time as a Saint, and is an all around good guy.

Willie deserves the hall of fame. Congrats!

The best LT to ever play...size, strength, agility, the man was a monster. I watched him bench press over 500lbs once. Made it look easy.

This guy was fantastic. Always liked him.

I don't know why but William Layton Roaf reminded me of Dr. Henry Philip "Hank" McCoy. i.e. the Beast of the X-Men.
