Or Stafford. Or Smith. Or Newton. Or whatshisname from the Bengals. Or Big Ben.

If it's the "guy who won the most stats categories" award or the "guy who threw the least ints" award or "the QB on the team with the best record" award or whatever, okay. No way he was more valuable to GB than Drew was to N.O.

Shaw...

Okay Danno. Rodgers deserved it more because of the interception stat. C'mon man...

Just one reason, and my point was that the interception stat is every bit as valid as saying since some back-up came in and did great that the starter is over-rated.

Since Flynn scored 45 on the Lions, and Brees scored 45 on the Lions, does Flynn = Brees?

C'mon guys, Rodgers deserved it.

He didn't deserve it any more than Brees, and history will prove that I believe. It's a media darling award anyway Danno. It has little if anything to do with who is 'most valuable', because Drew would already have won it twice if that were the case.

You gonna tell me that, with the year(s) he had, if Drew played for Dallas, NY Giants, NY Jets, etc that he wouldn't be the MVP this year?

It isn't whether or not Rodgers deserved it, it's whether or not he deserved it more than Drew. I say no. I guess we just have to disagree.

Thats what I've said previously. I think Rodgers deserved it, but it was close. The vote totals were absurd. I'd have thought about 60/40 for Rodgers.

I find it laughable that anyone is "outraged" that Drew didn't win it, or that Drew was "robbed".

I thought it was a longshot for Drew anyway. Didn't they do some exit polls months back with a sample of media and Aaron was overwhelmingly the MVP based on the sample?

I mean.... it's all subjective. I want to win the SB next season. I'll gladly skip the MVP if we can accomplish that.

Well laugh at me then. I wasn't 'outraged' because I know the award is a farce, but I do think he was 'robbed'...but it isn't the first time he's been 'robbed' or 'snubbed' by the fact that he doesn't play for a high profile or large market team.

This award is a "Who's the media darling".

From preseason, the media has been all about Arron Rodgers. I for one don't think Rodgers is better than Drew. Drew's "Con vs Pro" was the loss to ST Louis. If he wins that game and beats San Fran; this is a whole different thread.

Offensive player of the Year is a better award anyway. There's no ambiguous BS involved.

Who the hell cares about an award if nobody can even agree to what it means?

The reason given from everyone who revealed their vote was that they gave it to Rodgers solely because he had a higher passer rating and nothing else.

That is why I'm pissed about this, because they found an excuse to not give it to Brees. I don't doubt that Rodgers deserved it, but their justification is what infuriates me. On the flip side, the Offensive Player of the year voting was almost the exact opposite of the MVP voting. Rodgers only had 7 votes in that one. Almost like they agreed to give one to one player and one to the other.
