Plaxico Burress says Saints Drew Brees will be signed by Washington Redskins
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Stevie Johnson's TD celebration this year against the Jets was the best ever. He received a lot of negativity and "how could you?" questions but it was funny....

I guess Plax has never heard of the Franchise Tag. The window this year to Franchise a player is between February 20th and March 5th. Free agency starts on March 13th. If we don't have a deal done with Drew before March 5th he will be Franchised and we'll continue to work on a deal. He will never hit free agency and no team will ever have the option to offer him a deal. So even if Snyder wanted to give him the biggest contract in NFL history he'll never get the chance. I'm not worried at all about Drew leaving. I'm way more concerned with trying to get both Colston and Nicks back. Now getting Drew signed before March 5th is huge so we can use the Franchise Tag on Colston or Nicks.
