Saints Should Sign Randy Moss - Canal Street Chronicles

No, he!! no,

Wouldn't it be ironic if players nearing the end of their careers tried to sign with the Saints as their best-last chance of winning a Super Bowl?

I hate to be cynical, but with Randy Moss you're messing with fire ... he has all the motivation in the world to perform if a team takes advantage of his 'free' tryout deal, but once he has a signed contract, feels under utilized and/or feels Brees didn't throw him the ball when he should have, then the old, "I'm running my routes at half-speed until I get some respect" Randy Moss will come out ... the dude is 36, you don't have a change of heart or attitude at 36, your persona has pretty much been developed and ingrained at that point in your life ... but hey, try him out, what the heck? If nothing else, it'll make the Saints more motivated to keep Colston, Meachum, Henderson, Arrington and/or develop a young WR from the draft.

You know, it's not so far-fetched, that's a strategy that has worked very well for the Red Wings in the NHL. A lot of big-name stars at the end of their careers have agreed to sign with the Wings for lesser contracts just for the chance at winning a Stanley Cup ... Saints could do it, just not with Moss.

Nope, stay away from moss in my opinion

When he signed with the patriots, it looked like he had a change of heart and was giving 110% every play, then a contract issue came up and the real randy moss also showed up

I remember when he played for the Vikings in 2010, he could have had an easy TD and he intentionally slowed himself down because the other team got called for a penalty.

So in other words he'd rather not have an easy TD if it means him running full speed because the other team committed a penalty that will give him 10 yards and saves him doing any real work

Agreed!

Randy Moss is a cancer and will do nothing but divide the team...
