I'd have no issues going 49 over 7. The back end of NFL contracts are pretty much faux money as it is... hell go 10 years for all I care.

I am with you guys. If he is "only" seeking 7 mil, get it done now! I doubt that number would get in the way of signing Brees, then franchise Nicks, and then can turn attention to the others.

I'm not believing this number is going to do it. Why in the world would he let the market know what he wants? That sure doesn't sound like good business to me. Why limit your bidders, heck you can always turn them down if you want to stay for another ring or two?

Colston's camp throughout his career has been quiet... so I do think we should take this with a grain of salt. Remember when Pierre Thomas was supposedly looking for Steven Jackson type money... which was a bunch of a baloney.
