So whats our 2012 record now

And who do we loose that we might have retained if it wasnt for this crap. Im depressed

AsylumGuido 03-04-2012 03:05 PM

I think we go 13-3 again and win out with home games all the way through the playoffs.

Danno 03-04-2012 03:24 PM

We're still the best team in the NFC, with a nod to Green Bay as just as talented.

The Giants (and the 2010 Packers) showed you don't have to be the best team to win it all, you just have to get hot come playoff time.

eldinero21 03-04-2012 03:33 PM

Bummed....

I think in the end, we'll be close to another championship. I really believe we could use home-field advantage. I don't think we absolutely have to have it, but I do believe it is important for us.....With that said, a few of our road opponents look pretty tough, so if I had to put a number on our season, I would still see us going 12-4. (7-1 at home; 5-3 away)????? Maybe?

The Dude 03-04-2012 03:34 PM

Thats tits

Danno 03-04-2012 03:36 PM

Record wise, I'd estimate between 10 to 13 wins barring excessive or key injuries.

blackangold 03-04-2012 04:03 PM

19-0

But really why be down about anything... we got Brees back and should retain most free agents because of the tag.

Spags as the new DC... I still cant wait for the new season bountygate or not.

Rugby Saint II 03-04-2012 04:12 PM

Offense will still put up points. Maybe not as many. The defense will be better. I believe that we could win 13 games. That was my goal last year. Maybe I should change that to 14 wins. I will.....14-2 baby. With home field advantage in the playoffs on our way to another Superbowl win.

WhoDat!656 03-04-2012 04:33 PM

We will soon find out what kind of team we have.

There are a lot of unkowns for the franchise and fans to deal with that will heavily impact the season:

What kind of sanctions will the league slap the team with; will SP be suspended; how long?

Which players that were involved and are still with the team will be suspended and for how long?

Will Brees be pi$$ed at the FO for not getting his contract done and using the franchise tag on him? Even if he is signed to a long term deal, will he maybe not compete as hard as he has in the past?

If Nicks stays, will he have his head in the game? On the other side, if Nicks leaves, will Brees have confidence in his replacement?

To a lesser degree, if Colston stays, will he be the rock he has always been?

I am guardadly optimistic about our season; the carrot of being the 1st team to ever play a Super Bowl in its home stadium may be the glue that holds this team and season together.

W. Kovacs 03-04-2012 10:17 PM

Gotta figure we're going to lose at least two games while our players/coaches are serving their suspensions. Probably another 1-2 while the offense adjusts to its new roster (with nicks and colston or meachem gone), and 1-2 cold-weather games. I say 10-6, but could be worse if the penalties are steeper than I'm accounting for...

Euphoria 03-04-2012 10:20 PM

Can we just wait until everything is settled?

alleycat_126 03-04-2012 10:42 PM

Absolutely doesn't matter!!! Why because we've whether we like it or not we will be known as a different team. No more paper bag boys ( I wanna kill those two fans they always show in the clips but we were horrible) Now we are Bounty Hunters, feared, dominating call it a war cry but our fans will embrace it. I can hear my crew at the Sports Bar now " Here come the Bounty Hunters!!!!" Way better than being the paper bag boys. Our fans will galvanize this team at home. I see us going two straight without a home loss. We'll sweep Tampa and escape Carolina twice. We are going back to the playoffs again if the penalties or injuries don't kill us.

SaintPauly 03-05-2012 01:13 AM

Road games are going to be even more beastly.... Can you imagine the volume of the boo's we are going to get over this? Not to mention, the opposing fans, smack talk, is going to be monumental.... I'm thinking if I go to any games, which I will, they will all be at the dome sweet dome....

As stated in another thread, we are the new Raiders now! Can't be all bad...

joker-saint 03-05-2012 06:21 AM

Saints come back with a vengance 19-0.

darstep 03-05-2012 09:27 AM

10-6 because of inconsistency, on both sides of the ball.
Please prove me wrong. At least this way I won't go ballistic if it goes down this way.

Mardigras9 03-05-2012 09:44 AM

Too early to tell until we see what the fallout will be.

RaginCajun83 03-05-2012 09:48 AM
