What a dill hole....

Bounty hunting should cost Payton his job - NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN

WhoDat!656 03-04-2012 07:09 PM

What does he suggest the league do with Benson, since he didn't make sure that his order to stop the bounty program was obeyed?

SaintPauly 03-04-2012 07:14 PM

I'm still not convinced that Payton, or Loomis knew anything about this...

WhoDat!656 03-04-2012 07:20 PM

Supposedly, Benson was asked/told about it by the league investigators and told Loomis 'if' there was such a bounty, stop it immediately.

SaintPauly 03-04-2012 07:21 PM

I just posted something I found on sporting news.... Apparently, they aren't worried at all..... Weird....

This has been reported.

SaintPauly 03-04-2012 07:42 PM

So, maybe Benson knew all along, and just turned a blind eye to it?

QBREES9 03-04-2012 07:54 PM

No follow up call.

Speedy Ron 03-05-2012 09:55 AM

Loomis should be fired.

No, he shouldn't. Fined is OK, but firing is unwarranted for such a minor offense.

To go against your direct superior, the team owner, and set the organization up for some major penalties is not a minor offense. Loomis has done a great job with talent. But, he's the most expendable and firing him may help lessen the the punishment the NFL is about to hand out.

arsaint 03-05-2012 03:29 PM

Nobody should be fired.

Fines or draft picks and let it go.

The Saints are already screwed in that EVERY play we make on D for the next 10 years is going to be scrutinized and we will NOT be given the benefit of the doubt...

papz 03-05-2012 04:08 PM

My how fast some turn their backs.

jokeray 03-05-2012 04:12 PM

The original post in this thread is just more sensationalism that the sports media LOVES nowadays.

Guess the tennis nancy got some sand in his @$$ and is bored writing about the bouncing yellow ball...

Seem to remember certain members of a Chicago 46 defense having a "pool" for similar performances...

Should their HOF jackets be returned?

Euphoria 03-05-2012 06:51 PM

Firing of Loomis or Payton for this is pure over reacting.

Anyone who says or claims that should check themselves into a mental ward.

The NFL is still all about WINNING. As long as you win things will be ok. Now if they start losing then you can say other wise.

GW on the other hand hasn't been all about winning and failed as a HC so he could be bounced out of the league and no one will argue otherwise. lol.

Rugby Saint II 03-05-2012 06:55 PM

Obviously a Patriots fan.......

GM level- winning? 100% Are you making $ ? 100%

Coach level- winning? Oh, YOU MUST WIN AT ALL COSTS! 100%

YOU are to blame if we don't win. This is why we aren't making $ !!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. dillhole
Originally used on the TV series Beavis and Butthead, presumably because you can't say dickhole on TV.

Urban Dictionary: dillhole

Another Buddy Ryan connection ... who coached over Greg Williams with the Houston Oilers. Just follow the trails, eventually you come back to Williams every time.

darstep 03-06-2012 07:34 AM

We can just make Saints Sausage when the media is done.
They are going to grind this thing until it's mush.
Throwing Williams under the bus won't get it either.
Just take our lashes like a man or wo-man, whatever fits.
