Gamble Actually Slower Second Time Around!

I was hoping he'd maintain around a 4.5 40 because I like him as a developing player but to run a 4.61.......he hurt his cause.

On March 12, Gamble (6-1¼, 196) ran 4.50 and 4.55 in the 40. He had a 39½-inch vertical jump, ran 4.25 in the short shuttle and 6.89 in the cone drill. He also did 16 strength reps. Gamble looked very good, smooth with his change of direction and he closes fast.

On April 5, Gamble ran again. He put up times of 4.61, 4.57 and 4.53 in the 40-yard dash.

Now the time doesn't kill him and he may still end up being a great player but I don't see the Saints burning a 1st on this guy now. They may move up in the second but they won't spend a first rounder on him.

I wouldn\'t be shocked at all to see him fall to the end of the first round now. The guy didn\'t even have all that great of a junior season and anyone who takes a chance on him is taking it based on potential and not production.

If DeAngelo Hall, Dunta Robinson, Jon Vilma, & D.J. Williams is off the board I will like the saints to consider Ahmad Carroll
