NFL Live NFL Network Roundtable Golic is the BOMB!

Y'all should watch NFL Live today.

Mike Golic is DESTROYING the rest of the panel!

Hypocrites!

Bruschi is the worst. Trying to make Spygate look less......

GREAT SHOW today!!!!!!!!

hitta 03-05-2012 03:37 PM

Yea, also Darren Woodson has been pretty supportive.

jokeray 03-05-2012 03:59 PM

Bruschi is a duschi....seriously.

suddenly he's mr integrity, has never done any wrong as a player.

sapp is another one.

papz 03-05-2012 04:04 PM

Recap?

The Dude 03-05-2012 04:05 PM

Every talking head on ESPN radio has been pretty supportive today. I was very surprised.

I will look for a vid link later on their site and post it.

Replays on NFL Network are at 1am and 4am.

DVR it if you are able to. Well worth it for Mike Golic speaking his mind and Darren Woodsen somewhat speaking his.

The others? Hypocritical "NFL company man" Bull-crap!

Golic not only refused to back down, he brought up topics that made the other sissies uncomfortable.

SmashMouth 03-05-2012 04:28 PM

I knew I always liked something about Golic!

Srgt. Hulka 03-05-2012 04:33 PM

Golic was defending us as best he could this morning on Mike and Mike, and doing a good job of it, but in the end, he could not defend "pay for injuries".

Pete 03-05-2012 04:49 PM

I have a new found respect for Golic! He understands what football stands for.
Now steve young on the other hand ='s a you know what!He said he'd sue.*****

jokeray 03-05-2012 04:53 PM

steve young has become a serious ******* in the past few years.

Euphoria 03-05-2012 05:08 PM

I actually saw this and glad I did because it is starting to change the way I view this whole mess.

Essentially all the players on the panel agreed that it sounds bad because there is a name for it... "BOUNTY". But there is some form of it carried out by the players themselves only but for INT's fumbles ect. The key point here is that the Saints are the ones who institutionalized it on a coaches level and called for a player to be injuried.

Golic's point was of all the hits from the Saints games that they were discussing are ALL LEGAL hits. If he was in any of those situations he'd make the hit. You do those things in the course of the game but nothing stood out to him that the Saints players were playing to collect bounty's.

What I found interesting and no one picked up on was that each of those retired players NEVER thought that the "pools" ran by players was ok in their minds but not when an assistant coach is involved with it. Like its ok if only players do it but no one else can be in the pool. That doesn't make it ok!?!?! Its illegal still. I do equate it as an office pool but if you go look and most corporations employee handbooks there is usually a clause that office pools are technically illegal but they still operate them, lol.

I don't want to see players get hurt or become a blood sport. If we must suffer penalties then so be it. We at least got rid of GW at a good time it seems. Look take a draft pick or two even. We can survive that hell there is FA's. The interesting thing is the suspensions and fines and to who. YIKES. Players are going to end up being cut because the suspension is to long... who is going to want to keep certain players because they have to sit say 8 weeks? I know I wouldn't especially some of the players we had that we can LIVE without. I think Vilma gets cut.

Here is some of it.

Euphoria 03-05-2012 05:57 PM

Technically...

Every player on the panel is guilt of this so called "bounty" rule by their answer and suspect every defensive player in the league guilty of it... except Darren Sharper, lol.

Luda34 03-05-2012 07:33 PM

Teddy B sounded like a straight up B$#@h today

arsaint 03-05-2012 07:40 PM

Tom Jackson is a hater from long ago.

Apparently someone in New Orleans has pictures of him with a horse and published them because he has always had a hate on for the Saints.

SloMotion 03-05-2012 07:46 PM

Here's a couple really good threads on this site that really put the whole thing in the proper perspective. One of them is the Mike Golic interview. They just got buried ... bump 'em up.

Wooden mentioned this morning on mike and Mike that the Cowboys secondary had a cash pool when he played. Defend that ESPN

I don't know the CBA that well or the related labor rules of the NFLPA, but I could imagine there being a clause that could protect players' income in that type of a situation.

There might even be a clause, which would make cutting a player with a long future suspension - which was "earned" during his time with the said team - illegal or more costly than normal.

I'm not saying that this is how it is, merely that there could be some obstacles in the way of cutting any potential players facing future suspensions.

He's always been that way. I hate Teddy and his "holier than thou" demeanor.

It's simple really.

PRE-SPYGATE= 3 Super Bowl wins

POST-SPYGATE= 0 SUPER BOWL wins

Teddy refuses to admit that the Pats are a good team in a sub-par conference.

No cheat= No win!

Those who live in glass house should not throw stones. Good for Golic. Steve Young. Look to your past past. Keep your mouth shut. You know what I mean.BY.

yeah, I was surprised at Steve Young, not because he disagrees with QB's like Warner & Favre who basically just said big hits are part of the game, but at his, "sue the Saints" remark. Bringing lawyers into professional sports is the quickest way to ruin them.

He doesn't care about that anymore, he's part of the media now.

Mardigras9 03-06-2012 12:28 PM

Young and Bruschi are tards. Most NFL players have said what Golic has been saying all along. Big hits are rewarded, and if you knock the best player out of the game, great. If you go out to "sweep the leg" maliciously, well that gets know support from any player.
