This is what I have been hoping for... single out Williams.

Now you have other teams involved and if you take picks away from NO... you have to take them away from Redskins.

Simply put you can suspend some players who encourage this type thing and who were involved heavily in this. You should go after the direct person in leadership doing this heavy and leave the teams alone.

There should be an unwritten rule in the locker room regarding things like this. Sad. They weren't snitching then when they were putting cash in their pockets.

Is this paving the way for Williams to catch the brunt of the punishment (as far as suspensions go)?

Or is Williams in there with his holiness, the Supreme Commish, trying to pin all this on Payton???

He can't, now that they have proof GW himself did it on other teams and brought that crap to NO himself.

I am ok with individuals being disiplined to a degree but you can't punish the franchise unless you punish the 'franchises'.

So the teams now affected will be the Rams, Saints and Redskins.

and the Bills, and maybe the Jaguars.

Yes the more they dig in the more of this I hope they find because I just don't see penalizing a team/franchise for what an individual should be held accountable. UNLESS, Benson or Loomis were cutting checks to support it which they were not.

The bigger the better when the hammer falls. The more involved hopefully the less direct impact on the Saints.

Don't worry there will be more coachs, or players coming forward on this deal. It will be ugly

The big deal with us is the league told Benson about it and he said he would take care of it. He told Lommis to stop and Loomis in turn was supposed to tell GW to stop. It didn't happen that way and I think that's what will separate us. Direct defiance of the Commissioners orders. He doesn't like that. He doesn't play nice when you make him angry.:argue:

The way I see it the NFL has to sweep the issue under the rug now they can't punish the Saints, they would have to punish the whole league. Its apparent this is prevelent in the league for players to bet amonst themselves the league should mind their business and let them have their fun. Who would want to win 5k if it meant you have to pay a $25k fine from the league? Greg Williams is banned for life and his son gets blacklisted. YIKES!!!
