Some comfort I guess.

Not surprised, I thought the "livid" report was agent speak

Gonna be a long frustrating 4 months.

Finally somebody reputable gets a word indirectly from the Brees camp! To me "optimistic" is a long way from "livid" -- everybody just sit tight and remember, Kaare Johnson (the one who said Brees was "livid") also said a month ago that the Hornets sale to an out-of-town buyer was a "done deal" and look how that one turned out for him. Four days later the league president himself stood at a podium and said it was false, there was no done deal, no confirmed buyer, and so far it still hasn't happened. Some "done deal."

It will get done.

That sounds about right to me........
