even this is illegal.

True, so what the NFL should do now iis go after all the players who are coming out and say "They have done the same thing, put money up for ints, etc". Because it is illegal right they have broken rules. So how do you fix this? It's not right to throw a hammer at them cause it's the past. Well this BS about the play off games is the past too. Then the whole NFL system is illegal.

Well they start by hammering the ones that took it to far... Seems to be Greg Williams and the teams he was involved with.

Then anyone who took part in it and didn't say they have a morale issue with it.

Once the smoke clears you start enforcing the policy and point out that all pools are illegal by the NFL rule and simply sweep what everyone was doing under the rug. Punish people for going forward for there so called innocent incentive programs form ints and fumbles.

The tough and sad part is that it happens to be the Saints and how it got way out of hand.

It just seems as if this is a heart attack of an issue that this happened/happening and that the Saints invented it. Don't get me wrong, I do not give a stamp of approval on it. I think this started out as some "In House" fun and turned into a pile of steaming poo.

After this came out in the open, it explains why our defense wasn't "Tackling" anybody. They were too busy worrying about getting the "Hit of the Game" money. This whole thing got out of hand. From beginning to the end of it. SP should have said, "Hey, enough is enough. This is affecting you guys' performance to the point that you are hitting, trying to strip the ball instead of tackling and that men, is Bull Hockey in my book. CUT IT OUT OR YOU'RE OUT".

This couldn't have come out at a more wrong time. It's almost as if a soap opera writer wrote what is going on with this team right now.

I see your points don't get me wrong but when it comes to breaking morale issues and NFL rules things like that shouldn't be sweep under the rug and kept in the locker room. But things like having an argument because you took my parking spot... yeah that stays in the locker room.

FYI: You know sports betting is illegal in most states right?

SapperSaint 03-07-2012 10:28 AM

yeah, I know. Billions of dollars are bet each week in each State of the Union. What can you do, ya know?

True that... you just don't want to be the one who is holding the books when they come busting down your door though.

Nazi's really?

You do know that most if not all corporations have some kind of policy banning office pools right? Its to prevent employees from having issues or problems if and when things go bad. It protects the corporation. NFL is no different and they have the rule on the books.

You don't cover up a crime... that in itself is a crime. So Penn State should have kept raping boys "in the locker room". Oh wait they did... lol.

From Google on down, I've never worked for a company that banned office pools. Never. I'm sure some do, but I'm not sure the "Most is not all" is even close to accurate. I'm nearly 43 and have worked for 6 different corporations from small broadcast entities all the way to Google. If it were common to ban office pools I'm pretty sure I'd have seen it somewhere along the way. I haven't.

I think the reason Sharper denies it is because the money he collected for all those INT"s. Hello IRS.

Of course he does but the code is to not say anything. That's a true man right there your not suppose to talk about it outside the locker room.
