Brian de la Puente signed a one year deal yesterday:

The New Orleans Saints have a greed to a one-year deal with exclusive rights free agent center Brian de la Puente, a league source confirmed. Since de la Puente is just a two-year veteran, the Saints could maintain exclusive rights to him by offering a one-year, $540,000 contract.

No doubt, de la Puente will earn bigger pay days down the road. The 26-year-old had a breakout season in 2011 after replacing veteran Olin Kruetz as the team's starter in October.

Bargain price- can't imagine a starter making less than that. Hopefully he has a starts or plays bonus

The money was pretty much set because of the fact that he was an ERFA, because of that status the Saints only needed to hand him a minimum qualifying tender to retain his services.
