What If Brees' Leaves New Orleans?

What if Drew leaves New Orleans? (Oh! dear god; I hope not.)
As it seems right now, Drew Brees' is showing his true colors, and was never the team first player we thought he was, it seems as if he is all about the money! and greed had taken over his mind. As quoted by reporters Brees' is 'livid' about the franchise tag and won't sign it.

Now the next logical explanation to all this is; the saints are going to trade Brees', which right now, in most cases make sense. Brees' is now 33 and not getting any younger, ML and the front office had already offered him to be the highest paid QB in the NFL, but he didn't take it. Which is making him seem extremely selfish, So...Why not trade him and build for the future?

this would free up some money, so the saints could bring back Colston, Nicks(possibly), Porter (Don't know if the saints want him back) and then bring in some free agents, Randy moss, Mario Williams (Williams, maybe with the exception of a few higher paid contract restructures) or Osi!

But the one lingering question in my mind is what will we do about the quarterback position?

Do you think Chase Daniel's could come in and take Brees' position with no problem? Will the Saints become a run first team, with 4 great running backs in Darren Sproles, Pierre Thomas, Chris Ivory, and Mark Ingram (Which, In my opinion still needs to prove himself) or will the Saints become a dominant defense? with the addition of Spags and some great FA pickups, it seems far-fetched but plausible. Or maybe one whole complete team?

If you look more into the last option (for what its worth) the Saints being a top 10-top 15 offense and defense, it actually seems likely and would still make the Saints a playoff contender.

But all in all, I guess we will never know until something happens.

We will figure that out several years down the road with a couple of more Super Bowls under our belts and Brees contemplating retirement after over a decade as the Saints' greatest QB ever.

If Brees leaves...the Chase Daniel Era begins. Cool Chase or Cool Daniel? The nicknames need work.

This is true.

The report that he is lived was proven to be speculation. We as fans have no idea what is going on between Brees, his stupid agent, and the FO. For all we know they could be waiting to see how this bounty gate thing shakes out. Or maybe they only franchised him because they thougt they would lose the tag due to the bouty gate scandal. The idea that he is not a team player is proposterous. If you did the best at your job would you take a signifigant pay cut so the owners and other employees could have more money? We dont even know what the salary cap will be this year. They could also be waiting on that. Don't go all Saintsreport on us. People here think for themselves.

If he leaves....... You may need to request a new username.

If he leaves, he leaves. It's the "New NFL" You start out young and scrappy, win a championship and in the process price yourself out of a job. The trick is to do it over and over with different players.
