PFT's response to Brees' letter to fans
 

It's pretty impossible to articulate how much I loathe Mike Florio.

What a scumbag.

I will say this: I also find it sort of difficult to believe that Brees had no knowledge of the bounty program. I, however, know virtually nothing about what it's like in a football locker room, Pro or othewise so I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

As for the investigations being concluded: Drew was clearly talking about the NFLPA investigation that is going to take place. I think that is going to find that yes, there was a program but, no, there were not any intentions to permanently injure or to hit illegally or anything of that nature.

Florio's trying to make it sound like Drew is saying something he's not. How the heck does this guy still have a job?

I love how everyone talks about "the facts" as though everything that comes out of the league office is sacrosanct and immune to error. The "fact" is that none of us were there, and even more importantly, none of us have actually seen word one of the evidence against the Saints. It is hard for me, firstly as a fan and secondly as a student of law, to blindly accept the results of some investigation of which all we have been told is the conclusion.
What if I said I have conducted an investigation and concluded that bounty systems are one of Goodell's pet issues and he is specifically targeting the Saints since they were the first to slip up. I have conclusive evidence and testimony, but I can't and won't post it here.

Of course, people want to believe that so I probably wouldn't need to, which is good because all I did was call up one of my friends and then flip a coin to decide whether his opinions were true or not.

Exactly! This D bag says that the NFL has finished there investigation and we have been found guilty. No they haven't! This is just a sad attempt to fuel the fire and keep the hate going when more and more reporters are starting to see the light. Somebody needs to put a Bounty on this fool!!

It becomes more & more apparent with every sports article & comments made by those outside the media. They are still pissed that the Vikings failed to make it to the Super Bowl. Florio, Peter King etc. They all have been upset since the NFC championship game in 2009. All those other haters out there can just "F" off. We are untied.

I've said it before;

PFT is a rag and florio is a drama queen. It's really the TMZ of the NFL.

It usually depends on what news outlet you choose. Overe here the Morning papers are usually the serious media outlets while the evening papers just try to sell oooh and ahh..

I got an Update on my BlackBerry Friday the Drew said "he didn't know of a "Real" Bounty System.

Now that speaks volumes to me. "Real" bounty system to me means that the "Organization" not the "players", would have made these payments. From what I understand, "Players" paid these payments.

I'm tring to look at this the way a lawyer is going to look at it. Is anyone a lawyer here?

Handly little approach, they can say anything their little hearts and that word in the title admonishes then from slander or deformation of character suits.
