This doesn't sound so bad fellas.
The New Orleans Saints have lined up a visit Wednesday with free agent guard Ben Grubbs, according to a league source. Grubbs, a five-year veteran with the Baltimore Ravens, is considered one of the premier guards on the free agent market. He could be a potential replacement if the Saints lose guard Carl Nicks to another team in free agency.
Nicks has reportedly lined up a visit with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, according to Pewter Report, though that has not yet been confirmed.
Grubbs, who turned 28 on Saturday, made his first Pro Bowl*last season despite missing six games early in the year with a toe injury. He*is considered an asset as both a run blocker and pass protector and was universally ranked among the top 30-or-so free agents in this year's class, including a 16th overall ranking by Pro Football Weekly.
The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder has been a starter ever since his rookie year, when the Ravens drafted him late in the first round out of Auburn. He has started 70 games in five seasons.
