Just like with Mario Williams, it'll only take one visit to become filthy rich.

I certainly didn't want us to overpay for Nicks and risk losing other opportunities to resign and possibly bring in players. Grubbs will take less money, and will imo be a better fit for what the Saints want to do financially, while being able to fill most of the void(if not all of it) left by Nick's departure.

Yes! Amen! It will suck to see Nicks go but we're not going to fall apart losing one guard. Grubbs will be a welcomed replacement. Plus, I guess the Bucs should have at least ONE good player lol.

They'll have one of the best O-lines in the league if they are able to sign Nicks as it very strongly seems like they will.

The Bucs do have the bucks and they intend on spending it. They signed Steven Jackson today. Per Baldy on NFL network, should they nabb Nicks they will have weakened the Saints, of course who are in their division. All these talking heads are driving me crazy with their opinions. I turned off the TV for a while because they are just trying to fill the dead spaces in their broadcast.

It was Vincent Jackson, not Steven

Rugby Saint II 03-13-2012 09:17 PM

I don't want to play against him twice a year. He would be in or own freaking division. Coaches hate that. This can not happen!!!
WTF?????
Can you imagine?????

saintfan 03-13-2012 09:37 PM

Anybody think the Bucs will leapfrog the failcones as the second best team in the division?

I do! We're gonna have our hands full with them, barring any injuries...

Yup. They should have been last year. I don't know what the heck happened to them.

Adding VJ and Nicks (unfortunately for us) will give Freeman a target to throw to and some to find him...bad news. (for the rest of the division, I mean)

alexonfyre 03-13-2012 09:47 PM

It isn't hard to see another famous NFC South worst-to-first story this year. However, going to TB Nicks is really taking a hit to his chances to get another ring. They have potential, but that is all the Bucs have been since '09, unfulfilled hype and potential.

I wish they woulld have signed Steven instead.

Vincent Jackson is a fantastic player and the Bucs already have some good RB's.

This was an outstanding signing by the Bucs.

One of things that will trouble teams is the amount of time freeman is able to stay alive. Now add a high caliber receiver such as Jackson, and it could look like the second coming of a young joey galloway.
He'd always torch us with a big play @ the wrong time! What was that?Fred thomas has left the building.:bng:I'm ready to get this season under way!
