If suspended, Payton will just double down and plan for two weeks, or three.
The planning meetings follow the same cadences. They will hear his voice even if he's not in the room. |

When LeCharles Bentley left: "OH MY GOD! Who is going to replace Bentley? What is the FO thinking!?!?! We are doomed!!! Fire everyone!!!!" What happened? Jeff Faine got signed. No issues. When Jammal Brown left: "OH MY GOD! Who is going to replace Brown? What's the FO thinking?!?!? We are doomed!!! Fire everyone!!!" What happened? Bushrod took his place. No issues. When Jeff Faine left: "OH MY GOD! Who is going to replace Faine? What is the FO thinking!?!?! We are doomed!!! Fire everyone!!!!" What happened? Goodwin took his place. No issues. When Goodwin left: "OH MY GOD! Who is going to replace Goodwin? What is the FO thinking!?!?! We are doomed!!! Fire everyone!!!!" What happened? After a shot at Kreutz, DLP took over, and the Saints were good to go. As for Coach Payton getting suspended (IF he gets suspended) for a couple weeks: "OH MY GOD! Who is going to call the plays? What is the FO thinking!?!?! We are doomed!!! Fire everyone!!!!" Well, didn't the Saints had the same drill last year when Payton was "suspended" from coaching by a late hit on Jimmy Graham (which wasn't call BTW) who ended up rolling on Payton's leg? .. and of course: After Katrina hit New Orleans: "OH MY GOD! The Saints are leaving for San Antonio!! We are doomed!!! Fire everyone!!!!" What happened? |
