David Hawthorne will visit Saints this weekend

Seahawks free agent LB David Hawthorne and Broncos free agent LB Joe Mays are scheduled to visit with the Saints this weekend, a source familiar with the situation told CBSSports.com. Hawthorne had 115 total tackles with 14 starts for Seattle last season, and Mays had 75 total tackles with 12 starts in Denver last season. It's obvious the Saints are looking to beef up at LB.

Best news I've heard all off-season.

Could we finally sign the LB we've been wainting for?

If the Seahawks can't afford him what makes us think we can? Don't get me wrong LB'er is a position of critical need.

Maybe the rest of their LB's don't suck as bad as ours.

Agreed, but not the chub part. Football doesn't give me a stiffy.

Does Hawthorne meet with anyone tomorrow? Is there a chance he'll sign with some other team before Friday?

I remember when FA's wouldn't even think of visiting the Saints unless they were desperate or a cancer on another team. Without Brees that does not happen.

Great news, but would've liked seeing Woodyard's name on that list as well - heck, he could share the ride with Mays.
