Top 10 QBs That Changed Teams

Guess which QB this collective group of morons left out?

You get three guesses and the first 2 don't count!!

Maybe we need to cut Brees?

I think the list was for Quarterbacks that left teams towards the end of their careers. I think Brees's career took off when he signed with us.

Then how did Manning make it as #1 and he hasn't even played a down as a Bronco yet?

... "big name QB's who changed teams late in their careers" ... not that they 'changed' their teams for better or worse, just that they changed teams ... I'm left wondering at the significance of the 1-10 value assigned each player ...

Lets look at the list:
  • Norm VanBrocklin, only read about him, heard he was pretty good.
  • Sonny Jergusen, I remember him.
  • YA Tittle, only read about him too.
  • 'Scramblin' Fran Tarkenton, couldn't win the big one.
  • Warren Moon, infamous byproduct of the CFL, also couldn't win the big one, except in the CFL.
  • Joe Namath, always thought he should have just stuck to Noxzema commercials & Brady Bunch appearances after leaving the Jets.
  • Johnny Unitas, a legend, untouchable.
  • Brett Favre, oh geez, the list is now complete.
  • Joe Montana, another legend, beyond reproach.
  • Peyton Manning, as pointed out, has yet to play a down for his 'new' team. How does he come in at number one?

ummm... Archie Manning anyone? Speaking of Saints - Stabler?

They're judged in order of how good they were at the time they were traded, not according to how well they did afterwards. Brees was good but not great when he was traded. If he moves on from the Saints, he'd be right up there.

I looked at that angle and suppose it makes some sense, but could argue Montana would be a lock at #1 and maybe even Favre at #2 ... oh well, just another NFL debate topic for the offseason. <sigh>
