Interesting Rumors (B&G SSW)

I think Loomis is playing the waiting game to perfection.

Rumor has it that talks involving the Saints and Patriots which would result in the trading of one of the Saints second round picks and a fifth round pick to the Patriots for Ty Law has come up. Chances are no move will be made until the draft draws closer. Even if an arrangement were made, any deal would likely depend on the Saints and Law agreeing to a contract extension, which could be very difficult considering the reputation of his current agents.
I assume he means our 2005 5th rounder.
I'd do it. It would also mean LB in the 1st, CB in 2nd or 3rd to develop a few years.
Wouldn't be upset if we passed on it either. He will cost us a fortune.

It seems the Jeremiah Trotter whispers are refusing to stop. Sources are reporting that some in the Saints organization are willing to give up as high as a 4th round pick in next year’s draft to acquire Trotter, but others would prefer to wait until shortly before he is cut so that they can acquire him at a cheaper price, likely for a 5th or 6th round pick. Either way Trotter is yet another young NFL veteran that reports have the Saints eyeballing still.
We may also be waiting to see if Vilma is our guy at 18. If we get Vilma, no need for Trotter. Washington may get impatient and do something with us before we pick #18.

One other area that has begun to cause whispers is that concerning Cie Grant. Grant was drafted last year with the vision that he would possibly play middle linebacker for the team. However, sources are reporting that Grant might be moved to outside linebacker, which would leave the Saints with just Darren Smith and Orlando Ruff at the middle linebacker position. Ruff is better suited against the rush while Smith is better protecting against medium range passes. The Saints could platoon the two, but it is more likely that you will see the team try to fill the hole via a trade or the draft.
Probably also dependent on Vilma falling to us.

I know we would pay way to much for Ty Law but i cant fight the urge, i want him.

He would probally be like that double bacon cheese burger, really good at first, but the bad attitude and salary cap would cause a horrible case of heart burn in the end.

speaking of heart burn, damn.... that... hurts

I\'ll take Ty Law on my team any day. No questions asked...pay him and bring him in and let him be the man.

Some say Law is the best corner in the NFL. I know, it is very debatable. I do think he is up there with the best. So, I would be thrilled to have a top corner like Law on our team. At least he is a legit #1 shutdown corner. Some people wanted to give up almost everything for Champ Bailey before FA started and Law is just as good, just not as young as Bailey. Ask Peyton Manning if he likes playing against Ty Law and see what he says. Law has been a nightmare for the guy.

Boogro, I\'m not doubting his ability, I just don\'t think the Saints need another \"its all about me\" player on the team, especially what it may cost. He\'s is a great corner but check out that cry baby crap on ESPN Motion.

I have a hard time taking your seriously simply because of your name. Law can demand a lot of money because he is the best in the business. That is evidenced by his play in the post season.

Interesting Rumors (B&G SSW)

The whole thing with Law is that the Patriots front office said they were going to take care of him in the offseason. They were into contract talks and all of a sudden the Pats front office just backed out. They didn\'t even tell Law or his agents that the talks were off. Law has been the cornerstone of that defense for past few years and he deserves it. Law is just pissed at the way the Pats front office handled the whole situation and he should be. You NEVER heard anything of Ty Law being a me first player until now. Being the professional that he is, I am sure he is going to play this thing out instead of being a hold-out. If we have the cap room to get one of the top corners in the game, then I say do it.

And your name is suppose to strike respect amounge fellow posters because the second half refers to the genatal section of the male anatomy. :P :P :P :P :P

Now with all kidding aside,

Did you hear that interview that he had on ESPN motion, Bill Bellichick is a good football coach who wins superbowls becuase he has the power to convince players they aren\'t good.

What is that all about??????????????????????????????????
