Relax... Take a chill pill.. read and breathe
This is not as bead as it feels.. (I hope)..
Look at it this way. Last season there was a strike and no organized team activities.. Drew held them together durring the off season. Payton broke his leg and someone else was able to call plays from the sideline and still win. Just because Payton and Loomis are suspended does not mean they cant do their job via cell phone like some of us do lol..... I know they will not be getting paid but if they expect to get paid next year they will work for free for a while. Its going to be ok. Can i have a hug? |

We make a good run even with this staring us in the face.
This group is solid, especially on offense. Spagnuolo will get better play out of the defense and it's still a very productive year. Make the playoffs 1st, home field if that's possible, and then win out. Now that would be something for the talking/writing heads to talk about. Geaux Saints! |
People this isn't just about what they've done to the Saints. This is about what they are DOING to the NFL as we have loved it for years. It's done. It's not football anymore. Whether the Saints are competitive this season is secondary I'm sad to say.
|
Makes my skin crawl to think what Goodell would do if he found out that Loomis and Payton 'defied' his suspension and were in contact with the team.
I am surprised that the league hasn't executed Vilma yet!! |
I am going to say the Saints got even with the Rams for beating us last year by GW being suspended for at least a year!!
|
Ill look at this through Bensons eyes (eeek)!
I own a billion dollar franchise.... I must have plans if my GM does in a car accident, I have to have back up is my head coach is kidnapped by zombies... I do not see a billion dollar corporation not having a plan 2. |
I am utterly ashamed after reading the "proof". What kind of effin morons keep a record of an illegal activity???? They got what they deserved, if for nothing else, BEING STUPID!
I am not worried about the season. As pointed in out in several previous threads, we have people in house that can still handle ALL functions of the team from top to bottom. We gonna be alright. |
Loomis' assistants know every detail of what is being talked about.
Besides that, Loomis is around unitl September. He can do his duty. Payton on the other hand has built a pretty sturdy foundation and frame for success. Spagnuolo is an experienced head coach who can definitely stand in if asked. We'll be OK. This is just another opportunity for this organization to shine in the midst of adversity. |
... stand by for the Mike Florio, Skip Bayless, John Clayton onslaught ... Peyton Manning is officially "yesterday's news" ...
|
It is safe to say that if Spags is named the interim HC and the Saints season goes down in flames, he won't be fired!

With Payton suspended with out pay...... Can we now afford to give Drew what he wants? LOL
|
this suspension length is set up for appeal.
SP will get 8 games when it's said and done. F***ing Roethlisberger came back early, so I expect the same here |
Shoot, I forgot to bring my "chill pills" with me to work today :(

Chilling out is gay!
This is going to be a loss season before the draft even. Everyone has a right to freak out and they should. We are last seasons Colts. We won't have enough D players on the roster to play a game, we'd have to pick up scabs. |

Drew and Pete Carmichael for Head coach.

i could relax a little if Brees gets signed
|
Bree's doesn't matter now.
You can't win a SB with no one to play on D. Go Bronco's. Payton wins a SB in the Dome... good story. |
I say this just makes the Saints more dangerous....
E.G.. Ok team we have had the rug pulled out from under us, now put your big pantys on and lets go out there every week for 16 weeks and play like every victory is a nail in Goodells head. Phuck Goodell, NO one can keep the Saints down. |

Out of the 6 WORST defenses in the regular season last year three teams made the play offs, two were in the Super Bowl and and one won the Super Bowl. |
Quote:
I agree with your observation on the defenses, teams like the Patriots, Saints & Lions have shown you can have somewhat successful seasons with less then stellar defenses. You'll see a lot of 40/burger games, but that's what the league wants, high scoring shootouts. New Orleans already knows they can shoot it out, the glass is still half-full. Let's wait and see what actually comes down from the league and what the Saints plans are before throwing in the proverbial towels. |
...and even then I wouldn't throw in the towel.
I've been a Saints fan for a lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng time. I've seen a lot of crazy stuff and this gets tossed in the bag with it. I'll be cheering for the Black&Gold with expectations of success EVERY week. Even if Brees decides to break the camels back and hold out, I'll be riding the Daniel's/Whoeverhisnameis' band wagon for all it's worth. NEVER give up, NEVER quit, NEVER give in. Saints fan until I die! Give me everything that comes with it. I hope it's for, at a minimum, another 47 years. |
