That isn't true he can still get a contract it isn't just loomis in these negotiations.

And honestly... I think Brees should bite the bullet and play under the tag. He worked on the Labor union agreement now honor it.

Loomis isn't out yet, he just negotiated a contract with brodrick Bunkley from the bronco's, his suspension doesn't begin until the season starts, he can still work on Brees' contract

The Loomis suspension is fairly meaningless. He does most of his work during the off-season.

loomis suspension does not start till the first game of the season. Therefore there is a lot of good things he can get done prior.

Well, I will say this.... If Loomis doesn't get fired over this, then he better bring it before the season starts..... Talk about working with a fire under your belly....

Loomis gets to work until the beginning of the season, Sean has 10 days until April 1st, Suspending Shawn is the worse of the two because everything he has installed for the entire season has to be done in 10 days.

Especially when it's obvious it was a well established practice in the league for 20+ years.

If Drew is the real leader he aims to be, then it's time to sign the contract regardless of whether or not you make more than Peyton Manning and help lead us out of this darkness.

Benson is likely to fire a bunch of people.

There has been no reaction from the owners on this yet folks... And after what just happened, you're telling me that this would come as a surprise if it happens? I don't want it to happen, just saying it's a possibility. I didn't think Payton would get suspended for a year either, but...... it happened....

I don't think that clears up cap space, unless perhaps we cut some of the players.

As I've understood, Benson has a really close relationship with Loomis, so I doubt that Benson would fire him over this, because the bounty system wasn't administered by Loomis - he just neglected to do anything to stop it.

I doubt Benson would fire one of the best GMs in the league over something like this - the guy who brought Saints their first SB victory.

Of course I'm not saying it couldn't happen, but I think that it's very unlikely if there isn't something more to this whole thing that we are not aware of.

Yeah I don't see Loomis, Payton, any other coaches losing their jobs over this. We lost the one who was the catalyst of the whole thing and so did the Rams when they lost Gregg Williams...

Payton's gone for a year... a lot can change over that time.

I think Bree's deal will be done within a week but even if it's not the Saints still have until July to negotiate a deal and we have Loomis until the first week of the season. But I do believe it will be done now that Manning is signed.
