Statement from the New Orleans Saints Organization

1 Attachment(s)
Today, Commissioner Goodell apprised us of the severe penalties facing our club, as proposed by the NFL.

We recognize our fans’ concerns and we regret the uncertainty this episode has created for them. We are humbled by the support our organization has received from our fans today in the wake of this announcement, and we ask them to continue to stand with us, as they have done in the past, when both our team and our city have overcome greater adversities.

To our fans, the NFL and the rest of our league, we offer our sincere apology and take full responsibility for these serious violations.

It has always been the goal of the New Orleans Saints to create a model franchise and to impact our league in a positive manner.

There is no place for bounties in our league and we reiterate our pledge that this will never happen again.

Today, that mother fu**ing Commissioner Goodell apprised us of the overly-severe complete and total 100% bullsh*t penalties facing our club, as proposed by the NFL.

We recognize our fans’ concerns and we regret the uncertainty this episode has created for them. We are humbled by the support our organization has received from our fans today in the wake of this bullsh*t announcement, and we ask them to continue to stand with us, as they have done in the past, when both our team and our city have overcome greater adversities than the hypocrisy that is the NFL and Roger Goodell.

To the NFL and the rest of you panzies, we offer our sincere <cough> apology and take full responsibility <cough> for these serious violations. You can also kiss our hairy asses.

It has always been the goal of the New Orleans Saints to create a model franchise and to impact our league in a positive manner in spite of the blatant hypocrisy that exists today.

There is no place for Roger Goodell in our league and we reiterate our pledge that we will pursue every effort to have him removed from his position so that you, the fans, can continue to enjoy the game you have come to love.

I would have preferred that it said, "**** Goodell." Sorry bastage, I hope that someday Benson has the deciding vote on whether Goodell gets to keep working for the owners.

I hope it comes out that Goodell received kickbacks from the other owners to stop the Saints, come to think of it maybe we should leak that.

Am I the only one who thinks there is something to the wording of the Saints statement? " Today we were apprised of penalties as proposed by the NFL." Proposed? I read that as we are not accepting this as is. Let's say Payton/Loomis file a lawsuit and get an injunction allowing them to continue until the matter is settled. It could get tied up in the courts for years before being resolved. Similar to Vikings players & Will Smith's starcaps case. Didnt it take 3 years to get resolved? I may be reading something to this that isnt there but "proposed" seems odd. I betcha the judge in LA that gets assigned the case is a Who Dat. I think it would be easy to get an injunction and drag it out until say you want to retire???

SHow your support now more than ever!!!!

With the recent penalty handed down by the NFL and Roger Doodle it is emparitive that we support our team now more than ever. This season we will make our voices heard through the bone shattering screams in all of the bars across the globe and most of all the heart stopping who dat chants in the superdome. Lets get so loud this year they can hear us in China, or whatever country is directly below Louisianna. Lets help our team unite and bring home the big one. This will show all of the non believers that we mean business. You can fire our coaches and suspend our players, but the people of Neworleans and the WHO DAT nation will continue on!!! We love our city, and we love our team. This is our year!!! WHO DAT!!!!!!

Tommy, you are right about that one. Lets just hope Payton and everybody else wants to fight it. 8 Milllion dollars is alot to lose. Even Goodell doesnt have the power to overide the right to a fair trial.
