this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Something about Payton denying the allegations, and then telling assistant coaches to "cover it up".... also something about "putting him down for 5,000, on Aaron Rodgers", in an email recovered by the NFL. Anyone got the rest of the story ...

And there's no proof that anything came from it other than the email.

Yeah, it was an email. Lesson learned; If you commit to doing something illegal, committing to covering it up goes along with it.

This is old news. It was the former agent of Reggie Bush. This is just the press rehashing old news trying to make it look new. Your mind is reading what they want to to read. Much more than there really is.

I just heard on the Gottlieb show where he said that Goodell had 18,000 documents covering the bounty system. The dumbass doesn't realize that the 18,000 documents they have are all of the Saints corporate emails over the period concerned. Maybe half a dozen had anything to do with bounties. Many times more had to do with staff birthday announcements.

The associate has been reported to be longtime marketing agent Mike Ornstein.
