this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; as far as the Bountygate crap? Did it say anywhere we are still waiting to hear player suspensions, or is it done with just coaches and GM???? And on a side note, I see Brees signing soon. He takes this ...

SO is it over

as far as the Bountygate crap? Did it say anywhere we are still waiting to hear player suspensions, or is it done with just coaches and GM????

And on a side note, I see Brees signing soon. He takes this as an assault on his coach and team, steps up, takes a good contract, and lights a fire under this team. Stick it to the man.....Brees signs in 7 days....

I think they said that the player fines and suspensions will follow at some point in the future!

The NFL is working with the NFLPA to assess player punishments. Might take a little longer for those punishments.

If they gave Payton a 1-year suspension for this, are they going to start taking defensive players' first born children?

With all the current and former players speaking out on how widespread this type of practice has been in the NFL - we might see the NFLPA demanding more lenient punishments for the players involved, but I could be wrong.

The one thing I learned from today...the word lenient will not factor into the equation here. More suspensions to come, stay tuned...
