Regardless of whether or offense doesn't produce quit what it did last year with Payton not playcalling, I think the defense will be much improved with Spagnuolo as the D-Coordinator. I still think if we field an average-above average defense we run through the league. Our team is a talented, family with immense leadership in the locker room and I just don't see us losing that.

Funny thing how things work out. Last year Carmichael took over for Payton when he broke his league. He has experience running the playcalling and he did a rather good job when he was in , and I think we will be fine because of that.

While I feel the Payton suspension was over-kill, I'm more pissed that we lost the 2 draft picks...

I'm confident that Brees, Greer, Vilma? can keep this team together... Now if Goodell takes the opportunity to decimate the defense with suspensions, my confidence will diminish.

We're about to see what this team is made of!

Goodell WILL NOT let this happen. He will stop at nothing to prevent the Saints from winning it all in the year that he is doling out this punishment.

Too big of a hurdle to overcome. At this point it's all about weathering the storm.

Have to wait and see about our defense, hopefully several of them are gone already and guess Drew will just have to throw for over 600 yards per game:) SB denied? Only in doubters minds. There is no limit in the faith I have in our team to get the job done. That being said, today serves as a crystal clear message as to who will be pulling the strings this coming season.

Let's bring in Dungy or Cowher for just this year, when another Superbowl, then shove our Lombardi up goodell ***!!! He can keep it there, we got another one!

The problem I have with this is that if we win it all without Payton, he's out of a job.

That's why I said grab a retired former head coach that doesn't really wanna comeback. We can promise Dungy, Cowher, and Gruden two things the Cardinals, Dolphins, and Panthers couldn't: a legit shot and one more Superbowl ring in one year and no pressure to return.

If the Saints get anywhere close to having a winning record, to hell with making the playoffs, the league will have the refs throw flags to stop scoring plays, sacks, any turnovers. etc.

Can you imagine how pi$$ed Goodell will be if after all of these suspensions the Saints still go to the Super Bowl?

That's what I'm counting on.
