I'm glad you caught the rumor part. I just -assumed- which I usually don't do, since it was said "per @AdamSchefter" that it was legit instead of confirming.

I just slipped up. Also, Duncan went on (Sportscenter I think?) yesterday saying that team sources were saying that Carmichael was expected to be the fill-in. So since this was said to be via Schefty the next day - It seemed fitting.

Anyways, trying to get any type of word from the Times-Picayune at the moment. I'll let you know what I hear.

I didn't mean it to sound like that, like I was dogging anyone, but really -- I strongly believe they are not going to announce anything "official" for a while yet, until they decide as an organization whether or not Payton or Loomis are going to appeal the suspensions. That strange wording in the Saints' official statement yesterday, about "severe penalties facing our club as proposed by the NFL" was a big red flag that makes me think they will appeal.
