RUMOR - Carmichael new HC for 2012
this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Stuff happens. Actually, quite a few people said that Schefter reported it. I re-tweeted, went from there on out. Don't worry, I won't post news again. My fault....

I just slipped up. Also, Duncan went on (Sportscenter I think?) yesterday saying that team sources were saying that Carmichael was expected to be the fill-in. So since this was said to be via Schefty the next day - It seemed fitting. Anyways, trying to get any type of word from the Times-Picayune at the moment. I'll let you know what I hear. Also, the dogging part was in reference to the "chill out, quit jumping the gun" remark. |

I didn't mean it to sound like that, like I was dogging anyone, but really -- I strongly believe they are not going to announce anything "official" for a while yet, until they decide as an organization whether or not Payton or Loomis are going to appeal the suspensions. That strange wording in the Saints' official statement yesterday, about "severe penalties facing our club as proposed by the NFL" was a big red flag that makes me think they will appeal.
