I was just talking to my neighbor.

He thinks that Drew will play under the tag.

Sean will sit out the year (in Dallas).

Next year Jerrah Jones swoops in and signs both.

I had to get this off of my chest. For some reason it kinda makes sense to me.

Also, the Saints can tag Brees again next off-season with the accompanying pay raise if they so desire, so they pretty much hold all the card when it comes to both Brees' and Payton's futures.

If a player was suspended for a season with 3 years left on his contract, the year off wouldn't count ands he'd still have three years left when he came back. But that's a voidable contract at the club's option, a coach's contract isn't. Anyone know the rules? In fact, are there any rules, since this has never happened before?
