No, he was a weak-side OLB for them - among several they played in that position.

He was apparently on the field for 56% of their defensive plays and was their 4th leading tackler...

Martez Wilson at SLB
Chamberlain at WLB

I prefer that to any LB core we've had in the last decade

I don't think Dunbar fits into what Spags is looking for in a starting MLB, because going by what type of guys they've brought in for a visit, he wants a "thumper" MLB - which Dunbar is not.

I think it's a great signing! They'll get rid of Shanle now. Our weakside linebacker position is just about set now with Casillas and Chamberlain. Getting younger and harder hitting at linebacker is paramount.
