Is there a chance that Payton is so upset over his suspension that he resigns?

No.

He will probably make the most out of his mandated vacation and enjoy some extra time with his family while game planning for the 2013 season.

Definitely NO! He's so competitive that there will be a burning desire to take control again & show the NFL what they missed out on in the 2012 season. And he will take no prisoners!

I mentioned something to this effect in another thread. I hope he is so pissed that when he and others return next year that he tells the offense to score at will and don't stop until the final whistle sounds.

Or just stay home and mow the yard of that new mansion with a Goodell Sucks T-shirt on...
