Supposedly Lofton said this on Atlanta radio show

This morning he was on, and for the brief moments I listened on the short ride to work, everything he had to say pointed to being really disappointed he couldn’t finish his career in Atlanta. It sounded like he was saddened that the Falcons labeled him as a 2 down LB and wouldn’t pay him even close to what NO was paying. When asked about what it would be like to don a Saints jersey, he said that it “chilled his bones” to even think about saying the words “Who Dat”.

maybe his wallet can warm him up

SaintPauly 03-26-2012 04:37 PM

Well, he better get over that really quick. He's a Saint now. There were many other teams he could have signed with, so suck it up man....

SaintPauly 03-26-2012 04:44 PM

He also said this.......

..."I wanted to go to a team that, No. 1, had a chance to win a Super Bowl, had true fans, a great defensive coordinator. Then once the Saints called, I was like, 'Wow,'" Lofton said. "When I took my visit there, I loved it. I knew I was going there. I didn't need to visit anywhere else. I told my agent that."
No.1 chance!!! Haha!!! Falcons are the ones who r done!!!

$$ + Classy Fans = End of Who Dat Phobia

It's understandable that he wants to somewhat play both sides to appease both of the fan bases, it certainly isn't an easy thing to depart from the franchise that drafted you and go to their biggest rival.

In any case, I don't care what he says about the situation or what his motivations were to come to the Saints - all I care about is him bringing it on the field when the chips are down.

Wonder what Brees is telling HIS agent...

SaintPauly 03-26-2012 05:30 PM

Exactly Saintfan..... In my heart I know Brees is gonna sign.... I think he's just waiting to see what happens to Payton.

What are they saying? I don't read the enemies forums...

jeanpierre 03-26-2012 06:22 PM

Ask that question in Week 8 after playing with the Saints in the Superdome -

"Yeah, I miss playing for...playing for...what was the question?"

3/4 crying
1/4 in denial

SaintsRule11 03-26-2012 06:51 PM

I occasionally post at "The Falcoholic" and EVERYONE (with the exception of a few sane, rational people) is in a TOTAL STATE OF DENIAL about the departure of Curtis Lofton.

There are saying things like this:
A. He's not good in pass coverage
B. He never made a Pro Bowl
C. Lofa Tatupu was a great steal

and blah blah blah.

Can you say, DELUSIONAL?

ChrisXVI 03-26-2012 07:17 PM

Tatupu was a great steal?! Hahahahaha.

I imagine that there is a post something like this about Nicks/Grubbs hosted somewhere in Central Florida.

Tatupu is pretty garbage though. There is a reason we passed on him last year.

He's NOT great in pass coverage. Yet.

I'm sure the Falcons will be wishing they could still get two downs with Lofton

|Mitch| 03-26-2012 10:21 PM

Not great in pass coverage?

Didn't he pick two passes off last year? One was a 26 yard pick six, I believe...

Well mostly stuff about kissing their sisters and such, you know, the usual things Falcons fans do...

Saintswrath 03-27-2012 04:36 AM

If he does his job the love from the Fans in New Orleans will be more than enough for him to forever forget anything to do with Failcons.. Failcon fans are basically non-existent in comparison
