Saints could face reduced Primetime games in 2012

Not Ready for Primetime: Saints Could Face Reduced Exposure in 2012 - Canal Street Chronicles

The networks would only be hurting themselves...

lynwood 03-26-2012 10:30 PM

Actually it'll be a better story. They would be fools.

SaintsBro 03-27-2012 07:35 AM

The Oakland Raiders were one of the biggest television draws of the 1970s Monday Night Football era, and the Patriots have been a staple of prime time games ever since Spygate, so I don't buy into this at all

ScottF 03-27-2012 12:15 PM

Go ahead-- punish us and watch the networks scream

Are you ready for some football?
Seattle vs. Miami

Mardigras9 03-27-2012 01:34 PM

We will still draw those games, still the best show on turf.

Danno 03-27-2012 01:38 PM

Headline is misleading.

It should say...

"Could Saints face reduced Primetime games in 2012?"

Typical Canal Street Chronicle article.

FinSaint 03-27-2012 01:55 PM

Couldn't care less if they don't play any primetime games... I'll just be glad if I don't have to listen to Colinsworth spewing his hatred at the Saints.

Super Bowl will be primetime anyway, no way they can change that. ;-)

skymike 03-27-2012 05:48 PM

dang, are they also going to take away our scholarships?

actually, prime time home games are a pain in the butt for me, since
we travel. I joked the last couple years that winning was killing me, because back when we sucked, it was always just Sunday at Noon.

jegirouard 03-27-2012 06:59 PM

Imagine if Bill Parcells is hired as the saints', the media's favorite team this off season, interim head coach. Think we won't get 5 prime time games?

*winning three Super Bowls in four years

TV audiences couldn't give two sh**s about Spygate.

that is exactly what i meant, same thing applies to the Saints, they are a ratings winner for the networks EVERY time they are on prime time TV

skymike 03-28-2012 07:13 AM

you cant tell me we wouldnt be a ratings bonanza, at least the first half of the season. everyone is interested in us--- for various reasons.

and that's the bottom line, the bottom line. No way the pimps in the NFL offices slight us and hurt themselves financially.

jeanpierre 03-28-2012 08:30 AM

Now we're seeing another reason why the media is anxious to have the Saints have their success - just wait till the Vikings, Jaguars or Rams move to the other LA...
