AP reports reports New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said any rumored move by the Patriots of trading up into the top six picks of the NFL Draft were "ridiculous" and "embarrassing." During the Patriots' annual pre-draft press conference Wednesday, April 14, Belichick indicated a trade that high "won't happen. It's just not something we'd be interested in doing. (Trading up) is not going to be to six. I think you can rule out five, four, three, two and one as well." The Patriots held brief talks this offseason with the Detroit Lions about trading up for the Lions' No. 6 overall selection, with New England using their No. 21 and 32 picks in the first round as trade bait.

I just got a feeling that the Patriots are gonna trade up in the draft and get DeAngelo Hall or Dunta Robinson. This sounds like a lube job, to me. That could be good or bad depending on how you feel? Ty Law gone? I would rather they keep their RINGS and stay below so we could get some younger talent, but Ty would help RIGHT now.
