New Orleans Saints will workout California University (PA.) guard Rishaw Johnson

In a report by ProFootballTalk.com, the New Orleans Saints will workout California University of Pennsylvania guard Rishaw Johnson at an undetermined date.

Johnson is originaly from New Orleans before Hurricane Katrina forced him to move to Baton Rouge. He finished high school at Hammond, La. and then enrolled at the University of Mississippi.

During his junior year, Johnson was dismissed from Ole Miss for a violation of team rules. He then transferred to California University of Pennsylvania where he finished out his college career.

Johnson is listed as participating in the 2012 Senior Bowl and the 2012 East-West Shrine Game. He also was invited and attended the 2012 NFL Combine.

He is listed as being a good blocker who can get defenders off of the line as well as having decent pass protection and is a good interior lineman. He’s been given a fourth round grade.

Johnson is the second offensive player brought in for a workout. University of Louisiana-Lafayette tight end Ladarius Green was also in for a workout earlier in the week.

As long as we take a DT in the third then maybe we get him in the fourth. I'd rather this be a defensive draft.(I know I say this every year it seems like)

Yeah but that's because they rarely do a completely defensive draft, but I'm with ya on it.

Sound like a Carl Nicks type of find.

I like the sound of this, the FO has done a good job drafting OL lately.

Not to get off subject but has anyone heard anything about Ladarius Green? He’s a very humble guy and he’s physically talented. I think he’d be a good project and a great value.

Oh I love our scouting department ..... the last 6 years all but erase the 40 years before it, they finally have guys that know what they are doing

Sean loves small school prospects

I do this as well, every year defensive, defensive defensive. Just like we always use to say "there's always next year"

i've seen this l. green in person, he has huge m. colston like potential the only thing is he's no secret like colston was. he's a te but could be a solid reciever with the right tutorship.
