Cost To Move Up To 12 A Mere Third Rounder!

Check this out!

Jets looking to move down...While their cross-town rivals the Giants have made some headlines in recent weeks regarding a possible move up to the #1 pick at this year's draft, the Jets, who have the 12th pick overall, have quietly let it be known that they would be willing to drop down several spots in exchange for a 3rd round pick. Indeed, the Jets have indicated they already have a conditional trade in place with an unidentified team to swap #1 picks in the unlikely scenario that USC WR Mike Williams is still on the board when the Jets opening round selection comes up. The Jets are reportedly interested in selecting either of Miami LBs Jon Vilma or D.J. Williams with their opening round pick and feel they will have a shot at one, or both, if they were to drop down several spots.

If that's the case, I'm sure the Saints will be interested! They could get their guy (if it's Robinson, or less likely Hall) and still have their two 2nd round picks!

So who\'s the unidentified team? My bet would be San Fran, although Tampa and Denver could both use WR\'s.

I dont care where we pick...as long as we come out of the draft with either Robinson, Vilma, or DJ Williams. I may have a hard time warming up to anyone else. But no one cares about how i feel.

My feelings are overrated.

i really don\'t think the Saints need to give up another pick... we need that 3rd rd. pick to get a WR or another CB or LB

SF are in talks with Philly about trading DOWN.

Tampa has also said that they want to trade down. And even-tho everyone else thinks they need WR\'s, I think Chucky likes what he has. Same deal at RB...the rest of the world sees that they don\'t have crap, but he thinks he has good backs.

And Denver? Not likely. They already traded up and supposedly they are targeting Dansby.

My money says the team they are talking with is Philly. If they get the trade with SF, a good source said they would try to trade up even farther for a top flight CB.

I don\'t think that the Saints need to move up. If they do and the make a smart pick (which is iffy) I wouldn\'t be unhappy. Still, they can grab a quality ILB, CB, and WR in the first two rounds with where they are picking. In the 3rd, I\'d like to see another defensive player and a FB in the 6th.

I don\'t know who keeps posting this crap about Dever and Dansby, but if they draft an OLB they have to take Williams.

Not if Williams is already off the board.

I dont think Denver traded up to get a LB at all. I think they tried to help make sure they get a RB. Kevin Jones or Steven Jackson. And at the 17th pick, i am sure that Williams or Vilma would be there instead of Dansby. Denver could have gotten Dansby at 24. No need to move up to get him.
