Maybe Boycotting The NFL Apparel Isn't The Answer

Boycotting the NFL apparel is a real showing of solidarity. We as a region are standing up to the unreasonable sanctions slapped on us by the NFL.
However, here's a thought, are we really accomplishing anything? The NFL has to expect a drop off in Saints gear but I doubt that they keep up with where sales are coming from.
The people we are really hurting are our local Saints vendors and business men.(don't buy from the NFL-buy from the BNG) We need to show unity by buying even more gear from our folks. Let's keep the region together and show our colors. Everything I wear is Saints oriented not even rugby jerseys now.
Here's another thought, you might even save a little money. I have a feeling Saints gear is fixing to go on sale. I certainly have mixed feelings about that.
I am getting ready to start buying again and I hope you do too. Who Dat!:bng:

I am so open to other suggestions. It's fairly obvious the NFL, ESPN and SI could give a rat's ass what we think. We still need to vent somehow and until somebody comes up with something more effective, anything with those three letters on it is going to be on the rack instead of my back.

Don't forget, we host the biggest event in the NFL this upcoming year. I believe we can get our point across boycott or not.

Fk that! I need net t-shirts and Texans T's aint gonna cut it.

How about the team Boycots the Hall of Fame game, save on travel and lodging.

Stiff the NFL...

Win Win!

I will be wearing one of the new jerseys. For sure. In each color.

However, they will only cost me $38 each, including shipping.

I actually was just thinking about this because a local mall here has an old style Archie Manning jersey on sale for around 75ish. I've been debating about it because I'm not sure if it's a good buy or not (since I've never bought a jersey before). But when I saw it, I wondered how much profit the NFL would make from that jersey if I bought it there rather than directly from the NFL.

I think we need to find ways to protest the best ideal was the suggestion to stay away from canton maybe all away preseason games and find other avenues that will take away any income to the NFL other than the Saints. We are small market and you are right they may not care. We need find a way to give them negative publicity anyway we can.

Not sure boycotting is a good idea but I certainly don't blame you for not wanting to be seen in a Saints jersey.

And here come the trolls.

I think this McIrish fool is actually Pat Yasinskas. They banned me from posting on ESPN yesterday - I think he's here to rub it in. LOL

Supertek 04-06-2012 12:19 PM

You are my hero. Wish we could figure out some way to ban them.
