My answer is no , due to the lack of success by previous coaches . Mora had no success, Holmgren is not getting it done in my opinion . Parcells was an exception , but Haslett is no Parcells yet . Haslett is too young and this should not be his experiment team to play with . If this turns out to be what he wants , I say let him go elsewhere and try .

General manager responsibilites? What about coaching responsibilities? How can he account for the slide we did last year and the controversey we endured because the lockerroom was a joke. If Haslet became GM, it would be 2 to 3 years of a sorry football team much like the Ditka years.

That is really the point .

All we can do is speculate at this point . Rumor had it about a month ago they were $ 500,000 a year apart on contractual numbers for Hasletts contract . Now going into camp , no news . What is the stall ?? I do not believe that Benson after signing the new state deal would debate over $ 500, 000 for a chance at a playoff run . I do believe Benson would not give up power over his franchise , since that was his run in with Mueller .If more power is what Haslett wants , I say send him packing .

I think the stall is simple. I heard on WWL that Haslett is out of town plain and simple and wanted to be out of the way before training camp begins. If a deal is going to be hammered out it will be during camp. It\'s possible Benson wants to see how the first five games go before he signs the guy. That\'s what I would do. Why would you sign Haslett if he puts up a repeat performance in coaching from last year? But that\'s my opinion and I mostly represent all beverages consumed in an arena with a roof on top anyway. What will I do if they rip the top off the dome or build an open air stadium- I\'ll be NoDome Foam.

I know Haslett was out of town shortly after Mueller was fired , but I would assume he was around for the mini camps . We have had players signed and released , I would assume with Haslett knowledge . Haslett has gone on record to state he will not be bothered with contract negotiations during training camp or the regular season . Benson stated signing Haslett to a long term contract was a priority after Mueller was released . I would assume the state deal took sometime , but that was Fielkows side .

Loomis has been working on what ????
Have rookie contracts even been started ???

Something is odd , a familiar kind of odd .

A retractable roof on a stadium , maybe Sun dome foam

KFFL has reported that Haslett is looking for a five year deal worth 2.5 to 3 million per season and will be back later in the week . No other specifics were given .

From $ 900,000 To $ 2, 500,000 in 2 years . Too bad you can not buy stock on coaching staffs . If that includes getting his staff under contract for 5 years , no management and no buyout, under 50% season win record . Ink the deal .
