Adrian Arrington - often thought he was better than mario Manningham in College, he has had ample opportunities to gain a starting position but always hurt himself by getting injured and his inability to play special teams. He should get a shot now that meachem has gone, he always has beastly performances in training camp and preseason and then disappears in regular season

Joe morgan - has same chance at meachems old spot, I think he and Arrington will be battling for the number 4 WR spot

Abdul Quddus - the little dude can hit like a train, layed the wood on Hakeem nicks, a lot people calling for him to take over from Jenkins at FS because he might have better ball skills, solid special teamer and he's fast

Greg Romeus - should have been a first round pick, injury in college dropped him to the 7th where if you watch the tape, I think we've got a 7th round steal
He was on PUP and could have got time last year but wasn't ready in time, hopefully healthy this year

Curtis lofton - clowns fans are bitter, saying he is shoddy in coverage now he just signed with their rivals, i just know whenever we play them, I Hear his name alot

Joe Morgan is from a very small school called Walsh, who scouts liked athletically but thought he was too raw, and hadn't played against anybody, so he went undrafted and the Saints signed him as a free agent. He's basically the younger, more polished route running, version of Devery Henderson. He is extremely fast and also has great open field quickness, unlike Devery, and has the ability to make great catches but was a little inconsistent with his hands in camp last year, which is where the "raw" comes in. The only thing missing is experience, and I think he could be a great player in this offense very soon.

Adrian Arrington was very Similar to Braylon Edwards at Michigan, so I'm not sure why he dropped so far in the draft. Health is the only real issue with him, and if he stays off the injured list this year he can be a very solid and productive player. I agree with the comment above me that he and Morgan will battle it out for the 4th WR. It'll come down to health and whether the Saints want a possession guy or a speed guy. If they both play lights out, they might both be on the roster.

Grubbs is a similar player to Carl Nicks. He's not quite as big, but he's still very powerful and more athletic, and therefore is better in run blocking, particularly on the outside runs. Nicks is better in pass protection but that's not a knock on Grubbs, he isn't far behind there either and is a three time pro bowler. Getting a guy like him and saving about 2 Million a year in the process was a brilliant move.

Lofton and Hawthorne are both great tacklers and hard hitters. Lofton has been in the top 5 in tackles each of the last three or four seasons. Hawthorne was an undrafted guy out of TCU but in his second year became a starter and he's had three consecutive seasons of over 100 tackles. He is more dynamic than Lofton, in that he has had 7 INT's in his career to Loftons 3, and he has more sacks than Lofton, though neither has been used as a pass rusher all that much. Hawthorne had 3 INT's last year and returned one 77 yards for a touchdown, so he figures to give us some coverage ability we haven't had out of our linebackers in a long time. Both players can play inside or outside, but I suspect Lofton will stay in the middle to help against the run, which is his strength, and Hawthorne will be on the outside running with the backs and tight ends.

Two will be probowlers, and 5 won't make the team
generally speaking, though, most are question marks

I agree with the general concensus on Arrington, he was a good WR at Michigan and if he can stay healthy, he'll be alright.

Grubbs, Lofton and Hawthorne are great acquistions that only made you guys better.

Matt Tenant: He's a smart guy, can play guard also ... give him time to develop.

Chris Chamberlain: Gives you some depth at LB, but I see his value to the Saints being in his special teams play.

Jeremiah Hunter: Coming off an achilles injury, there's been studies ... linebackers are affected most by this type of injury and can experience a 50% - 95% dropoff in performance for up to three years after such an injury. He'll be gone.

Nope, he's a guard first and foremost.

Played for Notre Dame in college, was picked in the 6th round of the 2010 draft by the Broncos, but they waived him in 2011 and after that he spent a short stint with the Redskins before signing with the Saints this past January.

He is listed at 6-3 and 305, and he did make a start at all three interior O-lineman positions in college, so he is an ideal depth guy for the O-line.
