Adam Schefter is reporting that the Washington Redskins have re-signed unrestricted free agent DE Kedric Golston and signed unrestricted free agent CB Leigh Torrence

Anyone else hoping that some of these folks leaving are on Goodell's "to be suspended" list???

I'm not wishing any ill on former players, just hoping that we don't still have 22-27 people facing suspensions at this point.

And I wonder if the new team (ie Broncos for Porter, Redskins for Torrence) would be advised by "the Shield" if a potential signee could face a suspension...

I thought that Torrence would've followed GW to the Rams if he hadn't been banned from the league, so he instead decided to go to one of his former teams.

He is and would've been a depth guy, so I don't consider losing him a loss, because there are plenty of comparable players available.




Clearly that uncertainty is reflected in the type of contract the Broncos gave Porter.

OH NO the sky is falling, horrible teams are over paying for the Saints horrible, terrible at best defensive players .... have fun collecting checks and loosing for the rest of your career, so I guess the league has told teams which players aren't getting suspended cause how else are Porter, Dunbar and Torrence getting signed

IMO, Porter got the contract he desired, he had one great post season and hasn't done a thing since so its a low risk/high reward deal for the Broncos

I doubt that, he probably desires to be the highest payed player in the history of the NFL (just like all the rest of them) or at least to have a lucrative long-term contract with job/financial security.

My picture of his pick 6 isn't coming off the wall but in reality Porter is basically Larry Brown without the SB MVP trophy

I like Leigh, but 5th CB/special teams players are a dime a dozen.

He's replaceable..
