NEW YORK -- New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees, former Saints linebacker Scott Fujita and NFL Players Association executive director DeMaurice Smith arrived at NFL offices in New York to meet with league officials on Monday.

The league has yet to announce player punishment for the "Bounty" scandal that has rocked the Saints organization. Head coach Sean Payton has been suspended for the 2012 season, general manager Mickey Loomis for eight games and assistant head coach Joe Vitt for six games for their involvement in the program, in which defensive players were financially rewarded for injuring opponents from 2009 to 2011. Former Saints defensive coordinator Gregg Williams has been suspended indefinitely for his role in the scandal.

The NFLPA released a statement to NFL.com about the recently released audio tapes of Williams urging his players to injure opponents prior to last season's divisional playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers.

"The NFLPA was aware of the existence of the Gregg Williams audio prior to its release," the statement reads. "We learned of the tape as part of our effort to obtain any and all information related to an alleged pay-to-injure scheme. We had no control of the content and did not make a determination on the method of its release. To date, the NFL has not provided the NFLPA with detailed evidence of the existence of such a program."

C'mon Roger! Where's all that great big bad evidence you have! You haven't already "misplaced" it, have you?

If the NFLPA stops the commish with enough red-tape to make him think twice about heavy suspensions..... I smell an NFLCA coming on (NFL Coaches Association).

If this is the case then why did everyone involved take their suspensions like it was no big deal.... there has to be something more to the story but we might never know because the media is to lazy to actually do their jobs and instead just parrot anything the NFL feeds them

no players have been suspended, the players association is asking for the evidence. That's why I just see fines at the very worst...

the coaches don't have a association to go to bat for them...
