Draft poll

Before many of the past drafts, I would purchase a draft magazine or two and follow the draft, pick by pick until the fourth round. Not this year!
How many here will still watch the draft?

|Mitch| 04-16-2012 03:49 PM

I'll watch it from start to finish, just something I always do...

FinSaint 04-16-2012 04:05 PM

Of course I'll watch it, from round 1 to the 7th.

ScottF 04-16-2012 04:19 PM

In the annual mock draft, mark be down for the saints number 1 & 2.

Even Kiper can't miss this year

ChrisXVI 04-16-2012 04:27 PM

The draft is one of my favorite times of the year. New beginnings, dreams coming true, how can you not love it?! It's very special this year for me being from Pensacola, FL and seeing Trent Richardson make us proud. We've all followed that dude from his high school days. Regardless of that, I still always watch from start to finish.

halloween 65 04-16-2012 04:57 PM

I voted yes but it will depend if I'm on nights or days, either way some of it.

Rugby Saint II 04-16-2012 06:17 PM

I'll watch from the 3rd round on.

jcp026 04-16-2012 06:20 PM

Not planning on watching before day 3.

Marlboro Man 04-18-2012 07:43 AM

Round 3 on. I'm not gonna pump up the NFL's Neilson ratings. Also, after some serious thought, I've changed my mind on not buying any NFL sanctioned gear for the year. I've decided that I won't buy any NFL sanctioned gear period not now, not ever.

papz 04-18-2012 08:45 AM

I'll probably get to watch Dora the Explorer.

lee909 04-18-2012 09:01 AM

This will be my first year watching it.
I keep getting excited for the new season then realising its ages away.
I don't know how you put up with such a long break between seasons.
Coming from a soccer background I'm used to the season running Aug-May.
It's killing me

FinSaint 04-18-2012 09:37 AM

Well, thankfully the NHL bridges things over for me personally, since the playoffs won't conclude until June.

Marian Hossa needs to sue the NHL.

That's why I love the draft... It's a fresh blast of football in the middle of a looooong offseason. It's a little chance to get excited about football again. That is until it's over and there's four more months of nothingness lol.

SaintPauly 04-18-2012 07:32 PM

No thank you.... I will look over the re-cap, and see which players we got. If it isn't the Saints, I don't care.... JMO

bobdog86 04-19-2012 08:37 AM

i typically watch first three or so rounds, not this year. Kinda have a bitter taste in my mouth, that and the spring turkey season is on and I'm gonna get my boy a bird. Priorities

Budsdrinker 04-19-2012 09:06 AM

Of course I'll watch it if beer is involved!

FinSaint 04-19-2012 09:56 AM

At the very least it'll be an opportunity to see Goodell being boo'ed publicly. http://smileys.on-my-web.com/reposit...inking-022.gif

Why's that?

What do you mean?

What I meant was that the crowd usually boo Goodell at the start of the draft when he initially takes the stage - it has happened at least in the last two drafts that I can remember.

You know he isn't really that popular amongst even non-Saints' fans.

I hadn't seen or heard it before last year. Everyone expected it last year due to the lockout.

I'm not a fan of boo-ing but Goodell deserves it for "making an example" of the Saints. His efforts are transparent and the least he should suffer is a bunch of "BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!"

The year before that I remember the Jets' fans booing him with passion, but I can't remember the details related to it.

And you're correct about the reason behind last year's booing, but if I had to place a bet - I wouldn't bet on behalf of Goodell getting a standing ovation when he takes the stage in this year's draft.

But I guess I could lose that bet, only way to find out is to watch the draft! ;-)

Are you saying I didn't convince you to watch it..? :-)

iceshack149 04-20-2012 09:09 AM

It would take some real work to get me to watch the draft. If Clint Eastwood announced the picks I would watch. Or Fenster from the The Usual Suspects.
We're starting to get a lot of sunshine here. I'll be out dropping trees.

Ashley 04-22-2012 03:59 PM

Not even one pick

burningmetal 04-22-2012 08:29 PM

I'll pop in and out when I know the Saints are about to pick. No reason why I'd want to watch any of the rest of it. Not this year.

Supertek 04-23-2012 11:04 AM

Not much interest for me either I may catch some when the saints pick otherwise no interest. I am all for not buying any NFL merchandise just may have to buy some that is not sanctioned by the NFL.

darstep 04-23-2012 12:00 PM

Recap should tell me everything I need to know.
Really don't want to get all jacked up about rounds 3-7.
Saints pick late into Friday night; don't think I'll waste the time.
I just hope they get some WOW, stud sleepers over the weekend.
