Walters Jabari Greer contract extension grade

Saints extend CB Jabari Greer (3 years, $23 million): B- Grade
Jabari Greer is a solid cornerback who has been a quality starter for the Saints for the past three seasons. However, he's not great and he just turned 30, so I don't think he's worth this kind of money. I can't really fault New Orleans for doing this because the team lost Tracy Porter and doesn't have many high draft picks to spend on a successor, but the front office definitely overpaid.

And he doesn't realize that all of these restructures/extensions are because we need room to resign Drew long term without decimating the team.

It was repeorted earlier that Jabari likely won't see that last season under this contract so its actually much less than the 23 million being reported.

He doesn't watch saints games evidently, jabari is the best corner we've had for a while and 3 out of the last 4 seasons he's been second only to Revis in passes completed against him

He is no doubt top tier in the league when it comes to cover corners, and I'm very happy he'll be with the Saints for the coming seasons.

He is very often overlooked, undervalued, and under-appreciated when certain media channels and/or personnel are listing best DBs in the league, but the Saints' FO know how important he is to their backfield.

And to top, we found out this offseason that he is also a poet!

However, he's not great and he just turned 30, so I don't think he's worth this kind of money. UPDATE: This deal was originally announced as three years, $23 million. It's officially worth $15.6 million. That makes much more sense. Greer is definitely worth it at that price.
