With the Saints being so good at drafting good players late and getting the good UDFA's I think we have an advantage over the rest of the league. While the rest of the league was focused intently on the full draft we were able to spend more time researching and finding small school projects.
Teams are now allowed to bring 10 additional players into training camp I believe. Of those 10 additional players we will have the ability evaluate them and the rest of the rookie class even further which gives us a distinct advantage.
Not only that we get an extra preseason game to get film on these players and finish up with several newly created diamonds.:bng:

And the extra game allows Spags more time to install his system, and it allows an extra game to cement the weekly procedure so when Vitt misses the 1st 6 real games we have a system in place that's easier for everyone to follow.

Having more players in camp can't hurt. Most are probably a long-shot to make the team, but we can coach 'em up a bit and tell them to keep their phone on during the season in case of injuries, etc.

Guess it just means we're going undefeated this year! :mrgreen:
