New Orleans Saints players deserve to know their fate now

1 Attachment(s)
The wait only could be more tortuous for the New Orleans Saints and their fans if they were forced to watch a continuous loop of the Mike Ditka era while biding their time. Or if they were sentenced to having to watch and breakdown each individual snap taken by quarterbacks Heath Shuler, Kerry Collins and Billy Joe Hobert during their careers in New Orleans.

Which leaves only one piece of advice to offer: Get on with it commissioner.

whats the chances of them not doing anything to the players? maybe his over the top suspensions on payton enough already.

I totally agree. This should have been handled weeks before the draft. Can't tell if the NFLPA helped or made it worse by delaying.

Best case scenario is for Goodell to suspend the "key" players like Vilma and a few others.

To suspend 20 players on defense will be devastating to the team.

Well if the "news" would stop putting it in the head lines I would say the chances are better it goes away than having it on the front page every day reminding Goodell he misplaced a yellow sticky.

so has the NFLPA stepped aside without evidence or did Roger finally show something?

The last word from the NFLPA was that they were never shown any meaningful evidence that confirmed that any Saints player was involved in a bounty program and that they could not recommend any punishment.

The players may not see their suspensions this year. They may know the time they must serve soon but much like the star-caps situation this could find itself in court because the NFLPA has balls. In my opinion Sean and Mickey should be doing the same thing.

Players and fans need to know now.......not to mention the FO.

That's Gene saying to Roger, "Go ahead and broadcast to the world the heavy-handed punishment you're planning...and we'll appeal and do whatever else we can legally to stop you unless and until you can show me some real evidence."

Which of course we know Roger has no real evidence, so he probably had to re-think his plan which is the cause for the delay. We shall see. I, for one, hope it gets really nasty. :red:
