Yeah that's we were saying about this time 6 years ago after signing him. That's what we'd say again about him if we could get him resigned!

There is no competition with the tag. Brees either plays in New Orleans or he sits in New Orleans. There is no Oakland.

I think at 33, at his peak, Brees sitting out would be a disaster. A 34 year old QB that sat out a season devalues him in the NFL.

Someone will pay big money for him, but not a front loaded long term deal he's looking for in New Orleans... then again, look what Condon did for Payton Manning, an injured QB that didn't play a down last season.

You know ... given what Oakland gave to acquire Carson Palmer ... what do you think would they give us for Brees?! Just saying
