Mark Ingram's sophomore season

The reason the Saints drafted Mark Ingram is because they had had terrible luck keeping their RBs healthy. If any New Orleans RBs go down in 2012, I believe Mark Ingram will be prepared to step up his game. You don't get to be a Heisman winner without being a competitor and I believe Ingram is out to prove he is a quality NFL RB.

In the aftermath of the New Orleans bounty suspensions, Mark Ingram had the best tweet of any Saints' player. His brief quote summed up the sentiments of New Orleans fans like me perfectly. Ingram tweeted, "Don't worry they just making us hungrier and putting a bigger chip on our shoulder!! #WHODATNATION will rise above it!!"

If Mark Ingram is healthy in 2012, runs like he did at Alabama and plays with a chip on his shoulder, there's no telling how great the New Orleans Saints offense could be this year!

my concern about him going into the draft was injuries due to his heavy workload in college.

at this point i have settled on the fact he will be nothing more than the platoon leader for the rb.

pt is still the key imo.

He had one injury in college, a minor knee sprain and only missed two games.

he was nicked up at times throughout his career in college. his toughness let him play two thumbs up. but the nagging injuries were always there.

Thats not how I remember it at all, and I saw every game he ever played in except for a couple of the PPV ones.

i'm going on a limb an saying ur all getting carried away. he's going to miss some minny camps but shoukd be ready to put the pads on in july. he's going to be what we all expected from a no 1 pick in 12, yes thats right in 12 with some 11 experience.

Not even sweating it, he'll be fine when the games count

Where my Ivory traders at!?

Hope he recovers in time to shape up for the season. No spring training for him this year either I guess.

Even though this is not serious, it still serves as a good example of why the Saints need to keep their RB corps 4 strong.

One guy goes down, another one steps up, and the Saints' offense doesn't lose a beat.
