Exclamation New Orleans Saints could go after two veterans for nickel cornerback position

In the much anticipated press conference Monday from New Orleans Saints assistant head coach Joe Vitt, defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael Jr., and special teams coordinator Greg McMahon, one thing was mentioned that they are still looking for is a player for the nickel cornerback position.

The Saints may have thought it would have been easier to snag a cornerback in free agency after Tracy Porter left for the Denver Broncos. However, the team hasn’t had much success lately.

Of the three named in the article; Goodman, Bodden, King... I'd have to go with Justin King, the only reason being Spagnoulo/Flajole being with the Rams.

Typical whodatdish crap.

No where in the atricle does it quote any Saint's coach about needing a veteran NB.

I place WhoDatDish just below CanalStreetChronicles, and both below Bleacher report.

Bush league.

All I've heard any of the coaches say was that Corey White was brought in to play Nickle. Spags said he liked his range and press ability

ouch. king? i thought he would be a solid prospect myself but after the the playing time he has put in and the crown of the worse cb in the nfl against the pass i would have to take a longggggggggggg pause on that on. he has the size and speed but is there a serious mental issue with the kid? hard sell right now. maybe the school of hard knocks worked. maybe not

besides i think the cb market will be plentiful once the camp cuts start around the nfl

I wish they would move Jenkins to the nickle. He's not impressing me at safety. Not in the least.

If you moved Jenkins to Nickle, who would you place in the starting FS spot?

Have we seen enough of Amaya or Abdul-Quddus to let one of them start?

From what I've seen he's going to have some competition in camp. He could be unseated by another player since the DC has no commitment to him. He just doesn't seem to have the it factor to me.jmho
He made me use foul language more than any other player besides possibly Shanle. I like what I've read about the safety talent that we have brought in.
