Just grin and say "both sides are working feverishly".

Yeah I listened to the whole thing. Did not really learn anything new. In the beginning he started out giving the impression that this situation is understandable because of all the "distractions". By the end he was saying there is a big lack of communication. He stated the they have reached out several times. He also said that he felt what he was asking for is very fair and it would not hurt/hinder the Saints from signing other players.

So basically it sounds like the Drew camp is not budging. Drew feel like he held up his end of the bargain, playing for the entire 6 year contract. Now he wants to get paid.

What got me a little hot was, Drew made the comment that most franchise QB's get there contract redone in the last 1 to 2 years of the contract they are playing on. By his comments, I took it that he is insinuating we did not try to do that. Hellloo Drew...we tried to make you the highest paid QB TWO TIMES!!

So after listing to the whole thing, I didn't learn anything new that we here have not floated around. Drew just danced around the tough questions without really answering them.

come on drew. you could live the rest of your life comfortably off your endorsements alone. not to mention, you're probably going to be a senator or something. you can live off a million jillion dollars. sign the damn thing before you lose all your fans.

I guess you have to refer back to the fact that the NFL is a business and this is a business deal.
